We had to purchase this for our 1st grader per school code and it is very durable. Zip front pocket is great. If I had a suggestion it would be to add a side pocket for a water bottle, but that is not a deal breaker. We decorated the outside with stickers and even used the slits in the front to tie a bow. See decorating ideas on 3rd party sites. These zippers are pretty durable and work well for chubby little hands.I use this for work as I work at an amusement park. I love this backpack. Lots of space.I bought this for my son to start school. He needs a clear backpack, but so many are flimsy and fall apart right away. I looked at several and settled on this one. It is a nice heavy vinyl and the seams are reinforced and seem strong. I like the straps have a cool design on them that’s very fashionable.I also appreciate that it has a guarantee, so if it does fall apart right away, we can get a replacement.This is the 2nd bag I've ordered of this brand and it held up much better than the 1st one. The familiar tear at the bottom of the shoulder straps finally didn't happen.I have bought this brand since the school switched to clear or mesh. Mesh last yr for my kid in Pre-K it almost held up but I did have to replace close to the end of the year. The clears have always held up good. This yr they both picked clear now in kinder and a 6th grader. However I was disappointed that neither have side pockets for water bottles. So now iv got to figure something out for them on that.I love the color & design of book bag.
