I really like this product. My go to mascara!I love this brand of mascara and it’s very hard to find in stores where I live. The package came very torn up, top was open and covered in tape. I’ve ordered this mascara before and the package was fine. Maybe it was just this specific order.I have tried MANY different mascara options over the years and I continually come back to this one! It does not clump like others, it does not smear, smudge or run in the hot humid days of summer. Definitely a great option for a good priceGood product and long lastingThe tube of mascara I received is SUPER thick and chalky and has that sour, dusty smell that indicates it's expired. Not just a slight odors, it's overwhelming! Very displeased- I definitely won't be putting this anywhere near my eyes! What a great mascara! Reminds me of too faced BTS!I usually wear Covergirl Lashblast, but decided to give this mascara a shot because it's also Covergirl and who knows, maybe I'll like it better. The brush is shaped like a barbell and it does nothing for me that any other wand does. The thick ends hold more mascara than a wand that is the same thickness from one end to the other which I do like, but it doesn't make any difference otherwise. I usually wear a single application, but decided to see how this mascara fared with a second layer. It clumped a bit for me, but still looked pretty good. I was able to get the small clump off without much effort. The mascara did pretty well throughout a work day. It didn't flake and smudged no more than any other non-waterproof mascara I've ever used. I took a nap one day and there was a bit of flaking. A nice mascara for the price point. I would recommend.I think I've tried just about every mascara on the market, and I only like certain ones. I have naturally dark hair, black eyebrows, dark eyes, and really fair skin. My lashes, for some reason, don't seem to match the rest of me. It's a bizarre combo and unfortunate. They're decently long, but not really that thick, and they're a really dull color to the point that it looks like I have no lower lashes at all (I do, but they're sparse and light colored...yet longish), and my upper lashes look barely there. With my fair skin, it looks weird with my black eyebrows and dark hair...like I have no lashes, when in reality they're actually decently long, albeit a little on the thin side. This has been a source of contention almost my whole life. When I wear the right mascara that adds the right amount of volume and even a little length, it makes my lashes look long and full in a natural manner. Covergirl has some other mascara styles that work with my type of lashes, but this specific Covergirl Full Spectrum Lash Ambition Mascara seems to actually work the best that I've seen. The only wand that seems to work right with my lashes are thick, bushy ones. This one is just that, but it dips/caves in, in the middle of it. For some reason, it just seems to work for me. They get a little added length, and the volume plumps them up a little more, to give the illusion of thicker lashes without looking like spider legs on my eyes. There's lots of other mascaras that do this, too...but I always seem to have a problem with clumps. This doesn't seem to have any. I can carefully apply it with a reasonably thin layer to get the look I want (to make it look as natural and UNmascara-y as possible...I'm in my 40s, and I can't layer it on my face like I could do when I was younger) without clumps, smudges, smears, etc.I usually use waterproof mascara, because almost every single one that's not waterproof has smudged immediately on me or gotten flakes and pieces of it in my eye through the day. That includes the really, REALLY expensive brand name ones. I hate it. This one, for the very first time ever as a non-waterproof type that I've tried, doesn't appear to do that. YEAH! I don't know if my eyes water more than usual, or not...but I do wear contact lenses, and the flaking off in the eye is a HUGE issue for me while wearing them - hence I usually use the waterproof type (which can also flake off too, but not quite as much as regular). At the same time, I normally HATE waterproof mascara, because it's so darn hard to get off at the end of the day, no matter how much I wash/scrub/use makeup remover, etc. I try to be careful so that I don't end up pulling out eyelashes while trying to get it off, because they're thin to start with. There's just always a residue that remains. With non-waterproof mascara, it always usually inevitably runs in my eyes at the slightest moisture (and thus irritates my eyes/gets trapped in my contact lenses), smears under my eyes, or smudges horribly when I sneeze. I just can't win, but I keep trying.So...I was a little skeptical about the claims of this mascara. Many others have had similar claims to resolve all of the above. I applied it like I normally would, and it went on perfectly the first time and stayed put. Say, what?! I also sneezed shortly after application (which happens often - not sure why), and for once it didn't smear under my eyes or come off that I could see. I wasn't putting on a thick layer or anything like that...but with ALL other mascaras, waterproof or not, if I sneeze right after application, forget it. I have to wash everything off and start all over.We have been remodeling our home and moving furniture around, and as such, I was sweating a little bit today. I even almost forgot I had mascara on and rubbed my eyes a little - whoops! I checked in the mirror, and didn't see anything rubbed off or out of place. I almost couldn't believe it. We had a ton of boxes to recycle later, so I loaded up the boxes in the back of my husband's truck in the rain without an umbrella. My face and lashes and eyes got a little wet...not overly soaked, but fairly wet. When I got back inside, I was prepared to be greeted in the mirror with raccoon eyes and/or my mascara running across my face. Again - nope! It stayed put!At this point, I was a little worried that it may stay on a little TOO well, a la waterproof style. I took out my contacts and tried some makeup remover to wipe it off. It came right off reasonably well without any harsh scrubbing, going back over it over and over, using more than one makeup remover wipe, etc. Holy cow. A few good swipes and it was gone.Everyone is different, so it's always different strokes for different folks. For me, this is the perfect mascara, and I'm excited to finally find one that works for me without being waterproof. I'm sure if I cried with it on, etc. it would probably eventually run...but with reasonable activity, it seems to actually stay put. Finally!I'm definitely ditching my waterproof mascara I'm currently using and switching to this from here on out. I don't know what they did different with this kind, but it sure does work great for me. I'd give it 10 stars, if I could.
