First, I am no newbie to DIY lash extensions. After years of paying to have them professionally done, I started doing them myself with a lot of success. Initially, I was using a professional grade lash glue and individual lashes. It was very time consuming, but to me it was worth it. Then one day, I rushed the process and not only glued my lashes together, but I glued the extensions to my eyelid. It was a disaster and caused me to lose chunks of my natural lashes (which are actually pretty long and thick just bone straight and don’t take curl). I was devastated and nursed them back to health with a DIY lash serum. They bounced back quickly, but I was done with extensions. Fast forward to the present...When I came across this kit, I was a little skeptical. I’ve never used cluster lashes before and immediately thought they may be too heavy. But it had great reviews, and the kit was very reasonably priced so I figured I won’t be upset if it doesn’t work out. So here are my initial thoughts. The packaging is very nicely presented. You get two lash lengths, two glues, an applicator tool, and a lash spoolie. It also comes with instructions that are extremely simple. If you have trouble following them, your comprehension level is very limited (lol). I washed my lashes with an expensive oil free cleanser prior to starting, but baby shampoo works just as good and is much cheaper. I didn’t apply glue to my lashes as directed. Instead I applied them to the band, which I then placed on my lash line. They lasted a week with this process. I intend on redoing them as instructed and adding a little adhesive to the band my second time around and will update this review with those results. The adhesive is not professional grade, but I think it’s perfect. It doesn’t irritate my eyes and removal is EASY and damage free. They aren’t heavy, easy to apply, and you get hella amount of compliments. They LOOK GREAT. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be about the applicator tool as I’m not a huge fan of the shape of it. I suggest holding lashes without any glue to get a feel for how you will manipulate it. As other users mentioned, the lashes are held in its packaging with some glue. I removed the lashes with my fingers, took off any residual glue that was on them, and then used the applicator tool, etc.I ordered the 10mm length also, and I’m hoping that the company will start producing 8mm soon. These lashes are worth every penny!
