So I got this today and had to try it right away. Back story, I am NOT patient so I was worried it would not be great when it came to doing this. I am also not even great at putting on fake lashes. But… I do not like the upkeep fee of $100 every eight weeks for a lash lift and tint. So the part you want to know is that it took a little time but I did find out that waiting a bit after putting glue on the rod really does help it stick when you put it on. I did one eye at a time, not sure how you’d do both but ?♀️. I was really pleased with how it turned out and I definitely think I’ll get better with time and there does seem to be more than enough product to do it multiple times!! I also did a tint in between step 2 and 3 which was also super simple! Loved it!! I’ll update it if I end up hating it but as of now love it!UPDATED REVIEWI finally used it and it actually went OK. A friend came over and we did each other's eyelashes; it was definitely a learning experience, but all in all, I think they turned out well.We both used the Large silicone shields, and we should have used the mediums, but live and learn, right? I think we have enough curl In our lashes for now.We used toothpick instead of the little plastic device they gave us and it seemed to work like a champ. We had issues with our eyelashes coming unglued when we put the perming solution on, and had to hold them down. I don't quite quite how we fix that next time...more glue? When we were done we couldn't get all of the glue off with the Nourishing oil they gave us, but a little warm water on a cotton round and Q-tip works wonders. My eyes were kind of tender that night...just like I had been in a sand storm, but not bad at all. I didn't wear any makeup for a full day.I only gave it four stars since they didn't include the bottom eyelash pads and I had to postpone the whole thing several days while I waited for these eyelash pads to come in.https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PK59HL9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1ORIGINAL REVIEWHaven't used it yet...had to put the whole process on hold while I searched for the stinking bottom eyelash pads that were NOT included! I got scolded by a woman at Sephora for doing a lash lift myself, which didn't help my mood; I was hoping to get my lashes done on one day, but had to order the pads from Amazon because I couldn't find them anywhere in Denver. I'll update the review when I have a chance to actually use the kit. Don't have high hopes at this point.I have long-ish but stick-straight lashes. The only way they would hold ANY curl from a curler was if I used waterproof mascara. But using waterproof mascara and going to town with a heated curler 5 days a week (not to mention the pain of removing said waterproof mascara) is a lot of work and all the *trauma* made my lashes fall out in clumps sometimes.I love and will continue to use this product!! Now I can just swipe on some regular mascara in the morning and that's all my lashes need!!That said... I almost gave up on my first try because I got so frustrated, so let me shed some insight!1. Do one eye at a time your first time using this product. Trust me.2. Fold/bend the silicone pads before applying them. They are almost flat coming out of the package - by bending them you can make them rounder and more anatomically-correct so they fit snugly along your lash-line. Trim if necessary.3. When applying the silicone pads, hold them against your lash-line for at LEAST 3 minutes. If the glue underneath is not totally dry when you let go, they will probably start unattaching.4. When applying the glue to adhere your lashes, use a spoolie brush to separate and sweep them up and then press your lashes to the silicone pad with your fingers. Use plenty of glue but apply in layers, allowing to dry (don't glob it on).5. After your lashes are glued, apply a last coat of glue on top for good measure. Wait until the glue is COMPLETELY dry before applying the first lotion. I started applying it right away when the glue was still a little tacky and about a third of my lashes came off the pad and I had to start over...6. DO NOT DOUBLE-DIP. If you used a swab to apply a lotion, throw it away! Do not dip it back into the bottle! If you mix these products together they will expire and lose their effectiveness. It says this on the box, but I definitely want to emphasize this point! It would be sad if you payed the money for this kit and only got one use out of it.I *learned* all these things working on my first eye, so doing the second eye wasn't quite so challenging. In total it took me like a couple hours to do it all, but it was my first time using anything like this. Next time I don't think it should take so long.Definitely recommend this product for ladies with straight lashes!UPDATE #1: My first application of this product gave me awesome results... But weeks later when I did a "touch up" to address the new growth, it did not go well. The lashes that had already been permed got that much more curled and some of the new "virgin" lashes hardly took at all, leaving me with some lashes curled way back to my lid and others that were almost totally straight. Still determined to make this product work though!UPDATE #2: I've been using this product about every 6 weeks since I purchased it last spring. I resolved most of my problems with the product. If using the product on all "virgin" lashes, you can let it process longer (I did the full 15 minutes for my first application). When I use it to "touch up" every 6 weeks or so, I let it process a few minutes less (about 10-12 minutes). I don't use it any more frequently than every 6 weeks, or I don't get as good results (see update #1). Also, now that I'm more familiar with it, it takes me only about an hour or so to use. At the rate I've been using it, I expect that one package could last about a year!I’ve been using this brand for many years. This is the only glue that I’ve found easy to use. I’m not a professional by any means but I can easily perm my lashes with this kit and it lasts me about 3 months before I have to do it again and saves hundreds of dollars by not going to the salon.Be sure that you don’t put the pink or blue on the tips of your lashes as they are delicate and can curl easy making your perm look really weird. If you have trouble getting the adhesive off, use warm water and soap, then immediately pat dry your lashes and use an eye lash brush to fluff them up again.
