Goo Goo Cluster - The First Combination Candy Creates a Southern Tradition The world's first ever combination candy bar was invented in 1912, in a copper kettle at the Standard Candy Company in Nashville, TN. It was a roundish mound of caramel, marshmallow nougat, fresh roasted peanuts and real milk chocolate. The Goo Goo Cluster represented the first time a candy bar consisted of more than just one principal ingredient. For a time it was impossible to ask for a Goo Goo by name since no one could decide what to call the delicious thick clusters of candy. The story of how the candy came to be named comes in many versions, the most likely being this; Howell Campell, Sr. used to ride the streetcar to work every day and would talk the matter of naming the candy over with fellow passengers. Mr. Campbell was announcing to fellow passengers on the streetcar his newborn son's first words and a school teacher made the connection with the candy. She suggested Mr. Campbell name his treat Goo Goo! It is so good, people will ask for it from birth! The Goo Goo Cluster family consists of three flavors: Original, Supreme, and Peanut Butter: Original: Milk chocolate, caramel, marshamllow nougat, freshly roasted peanuts Supreme: Milk chocolate, caramel, marshmallow nougat, pecans Peanut Butter: Milk chocolate, peanut butter, freshly roasted peanuts Handmade and Artisinal Goo Goo Clusters are freshly produced every month. GooGoo Clusters Peanut Butter 12 count
Peants, Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate
12 goo goos that are 1.5oz each
This is what a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup wants to be when it grows up! Imagine a Reese's with maybe the same total amount of chocolate but about 3 times more peanut butter filling and topped with chopped nuts. These gems are little bites of PB chocolate heaven. One of the best candies out there period! Totally unhealthy which is why we only have them occasionally for holidays but everyone in the family loves them. Seriously crave these and am so glad I don't live in TN where their home store is or we would be in trouble. The price isn't much higher than what you pay to but through the company website but with prime here you get free shipping if you can find these on prime. Fast shipping always on here and packaged well, I have never had any issue with broken or melty chocolates etc. This is a great treat purchase! This product is not available in our area (Minnesota), so it’s wonderful to be able to order it and have it shipped directly to our home. These are soooo good. It'd be nice for the maker to bring them back to CA stores. The price is a bit expensive so we can only buy them for special occasions.I ordered these Goo Goo clusters, and they were not melted/crumbled/old. They were delicious. I did order though during colder months (February/March).Peanut Butter Goo Goo Clusters may be the best candy ever made. 5-Star in my mouth. Even regular Goo Goo Clusters put most candy bars to shame. I used to have a weird cheap store that for some reason carried them, and I bought them like weekly. But now I cant find them anywhere in Central NY... I feel like I need to go to Nashville for them. So sad I cant get them near me.But these came in mail totally melted (and I live in NY, its not that hot here). Stuck to wrapper and extra deformed. So messy. And so expensive. Cant recommend buying them here by mail. Maybe in winter? Literally makes me sad. These are so delicious! If you like quality peanut butter even better than a Reeses then you'll love these!Googoo is so yummy, I love the original and the peanut butter ones. If you’re looking to treat yourself, then get the googoo!!
