Before this kit, I was in lash extensions for the last 4 years! But of course, COVID, so I couldn’t keep up with my extensions and they all fell out, now I’m back to my natural lashes! This kit is not going to make your lashes anything that it is not already, like longer, thinker, fuller etc. If that is what you’re looking for, move along. Simplified, this kit perms your lashes to keep the curl, thru rain or shine, or your shower. My lashes are a decent length, but they are pretty much stick straight, so curling my lashes each morning takes more time then I care for. Things to consider before you get all excited about this kit (or any lash perm kit)- definitely watch you tube videos!! I did, and they helped a ton, to give me a better idea of what I was getting into (with any lash perm kit)- you’ll want to take your time with this, so be sure to set aside 60-90minutes, so you do not feel rushed. It may not take you that long, but you’re working incredibly close to your eye, with basically chemicals, so last thing you want, is to feel rushed.- this is not permanent. Like a normal hair perm, you’ll have to “Perm” your lashes again at some point, once the curl starts to relax. Unknown how long in between applications, I’m sure everyone is different. I’m only 2weeks in, since my initial application, and all still looks good, so I’m still waiting to see for myself.Beyond that, here’s some more to consider. The kit, I think is a great value for the number of times you can use it VS the cost of a one time “lash lift” at the salon (probably about $60+) the kit is well labeled and had clear instructions for application. Some people complained of the glue not working well to keep the silicone pad on the eye lid, so I was prepared for that. Mine were a little annoying to keep in place, but overall not as bad as I anticipated. The kit came with three size lash pads- S,M,L. The difference I noticed with each of the pad sizes were they kept getting a bit longer in length with each size up, and the thickness of the pad also increased with the size. If you have really short lashes, probably use the “S” pad, and move on from there, depending on your lash length and the degree of curl you’d like. The smaller the pad size, the more severe your curl will be. Think if it as holding your lash curler firm on just one spot of your lashes, and getting that “straight up” look, rather than “walking out” your lash curler and getting more of the “curled up” look. I chose the “medium” sized lash pad, which ended up giving my lashes a more “straight up” look, instead of a “curled up” I don’t much mind it, but next time, I’ll try the larger lash pad, since my lashes are decently longer than I initially thought. The kit also provided quite a bit of (what looks like) skinny cotton rollers. Unsure if this was supposed to be used in place of lash pads, if you choose? The kits instructions did not note what to do with the cotton rollers at all. I found the silicone lash pads to be reuseable. The kit does NOT come with any sort of applicator tips (unless they meant for the skinny cotton rolls to be the applicators?) was another major gripe of most users. Some recommend cutting off the cotton bud part of the qtips and using the wooden or plastic stick that is left. I personally used flocked tipped applicators I had from when I had lash extensions. I found they worked really well and you can find them here on Amazon, where I got mine. Pro tips- I trimmed the length of the silicon lash pads to fit my eye best, so it wouldn’t protrude too far past the edges of my eyes. I used clear wrap over the lash pads, while waiting for the amount of time you’re supposed to leave the solution on. I found the clear wrap to be helpful with helping to keep your lashes from unsticking itself from the lash pad, while waiting on the solution to work. I also did one eye at a time, alternating the different steps on each eye and set a separate timer for each eye. Overall, I’m happy with this kit and may update the review as I used it in the future.
