I was hopeful but these don’t add much at allI'm not one to write reviews but here goes....... I really wanted to like this mascara. The fibers were very clumpy and once it dried it was hard to get off. It also made my eyes itch all day.I was so excited to try a reasonably priced mascara that is gluten free, but unfortunately I was sent a used and dirty mascara with damaged packaging. :(This was my first time trying a 3D fiber lash product like this.I am fortunate to have naturally pretty long lashes. The issue I sometimes have is with fullness, especially when I lose some eye lashes and they’re taking their sweet time growing back. So I was hopeful that this product would help to fill in some of those temporary blank spots and give my lashes a more uniformly full look.Instructions are pretty straightforward: Apply a thin coat of your regular mascara. Let dry. Apply a quick coat of the clear coat, followed immediately by the fiber product.Easy enough. Initial results looked good. Definitely not furry caterpillar-like, like I was halfway expecting. But noticeably more full on the side I used it on first. (I figured a good test is to do one eye with and one without for a side-by-side comparison.) So, I applied it to the other side. For about the first hour or so, great results. And then...my eye lashes started to shed. At first, I just noticed a few fibers on my cheeks when I quickly looked in the mirror. OK, so that’s happening. No big deal, though, right? Then I *REALLY* noticed the fiber that fell into my eye and adhered itself — quite painfully — to my contact lens. So then, I’m like...what do I do? My normal course of action would be to flush it out with some contact solution, take my contact out and rinse it, and put it back in. A little voice in my head told me this would end badly, but what choice did I have? I take my contact out. Which, by this time, from futzing around by my eyes, has several fibers stuck to it. I consider my options: Attempt to rinse them all off, put the contact back in and hope for the best? Or call it and just wash my face to get it all off? I chose the latter. Thus endeth my experiment with this product. Now, if I were not a contact lens wearer with chronically dry eyes and abnormally thick lenses (mine are toric, so they’re weighted), I think this product would probably have been OK. Even before the contact debacle, though, I wasn’t happy to see the fibers shedding on my cheeks. But, at least, I don’t think they would bother the eyes of an average user. For me, though? Hard pass.I was so excited to try this 3D mascara as I've never tried before. It came in a really chic and nice packaging as you can see in my picture, so I think it would be nice as a gift too. It came with two tube bottles mascara, one is smaller which is the 3D fiber mascara and the other one is a normal mascara. It's easy to apply them, you should first use the regular mascara and apply it all over your eye lashes as you normally or usually do. The mascara alone, gives you enough length and volume which I really liked. Then you should apply the 3D fiber mascara same way that you apply your normal mascara. It has so many fiber on it and gives your eye lashes super volume. To be honest it's a little messy after you apply the fiber mascara so I think the normal mascara would be great by its own or I would apply the 3d fiber mascara just a little to don't make my eye lashes so fake. I think it's worth a try to experience something new and different by I personally would stick to normal volumize mascara. This is my first time using a fiber mascara product. The product arrived in a nice case-good for gift giving. Instructions say to use your own mascara, then put the clear gel, fiber mascara and clear gel to seal it. I did all this and was happy with the way my lashes looked long and full. I tried to use an eyelash curler afterwards and I guess I took most of the fibers off. So, maybe if I use the eyelash curler first and don't use it again (I always do with regular mascara) then it's probably fine. You do need to use the sealant or little fibers will be under your eyes. I'm impressed with this product. Recommended.Love that it’s vegan. It looks great on and goes on easy.Nice rich black color.EpiLynx 3D Black Liquid Mascara, Nylon Fibers, Synthetic Collagen Fibers - Volumizing and Lengthening -This is a two-step mascara. You need to apply the fibers first (the smaller tube) and then seal them in with the mascara part. If you don't you will have the fibers all over your face. It works really well and looks amazing - just like false lashes. It is perfect for people who want the look of falsies but don't want the issues of wearing them. The fibers wash off with a cleanser but you might want to use a cleansing balm or something with oil to make it easier.
