I really like this mascara. It goes on smoothly and never clumpsI seen someone on TikTok have amazing lashes and i found out it was this that she used so I got it and will never ever go back to a different brand!!!! 10/10The applicator adjusts for volume or length- pair it with the not flaky or tranfering formula and this mascara checks all the boxesI really wanted to love this product. I love the company and buy almost all my cosmetics from them. However, compared to Stellar Gaze, this mascara is disappointing. Stellar Gaze provided me volume & length. I have long, thin, translucent lashes so that's not an easy task! I wanted to try this new product because Stellar Gaze dries out so quickly and gets really thick and unusable more quickly than other mascaras I've used.This product comes with a really neat wand design -- you twist the end of the cap and the brush scrunches up so the bristles are closer together for volume, or you twist the other way to spread them out for more length. Unfortunately, the brush itself is really light on bristles so it doesn't do anything to add volume or length. If the brush were thicker with a LOT more bristles, it might work far better.Also, the mascara itself is just too wet, thin, and slippery. It barely adheres to my lashes, so I have to use several coats. But because it takes so long to dry, it's a bit of a process and I don't have time for that. Plus, it does smudge the eyelid very easily as you apply it because it is so wet and slippery. And that, too, takes a long time to dry. But you can't try to remove it with a cotton swab until it's dry, or else you'll ruin your still-wet lashes. The formula needs to be thickened.Finally, oh, the raccoon eyes. This stuff smudges very, very easily, and flakes off shortly after application. By lunchtime, I notice both flakes and smudges under my eyes. This happens even when I only wear it on my top lashes. And it happened even when I only wear it on my top lashes AND I apply a drying powder all over my eyes and lashes before application. Makes no difference. By the end of the workday, I have substantial black smudging under my eyes. Every single day. *Sigh* It's so disappointing. I really, really wanted to like this product. Back to Stellar Gaze, I suppose.I am slowly trying to make shifts to non-toxic makeup and mascara has been my hardest shift. I love Pacifica as a whole, have used makeup from them before, and love their haircare, but their mascara has been disappointing. The formula dries down fast, which is great for building, but it felt like no matter how many coats I applied, nothing happened. The formulation seems thin and wet, like I had been crying and what was left of my mascara was thin coats (if that makes any sense). I tried layering with other Pacifica formulas but nothing amazing happened. Neither volume, nor length, was there. So, I don't think this works for my needs.Don't usually write reviews, but WELL DONE PACIFICA! Such a planet-conscious, cruelty-free, naturally-focused company and they come up with an amazing mascara too. The price compared to other designer mascaras is not too high; I don't mind spending it for this as opposed to nearly $30 for something that was vegan & cruelty-free but flaked all over my face. I thought the wand was kind of a silly gimmick but it actually does its job! I also felt that the look of the wand was not going to be good for volume (guess I always equated full bushy brush=full bushy lashes). It just combs right through my lashes, and when I turn it for the second coat, it surprisingly voluminizes and lifts! It doesn't flake on my face, and if I was sloppy when applying I can wipe it off easily. It's hard to be sloppy with it though, the wand is so lovely and precise. If i feel I need to reapply after many hours, it can take another coat and still be beautiful. It's a natural look while bringing volume and length. I'm so glad there aren't pieces of mascara flaking all over my face at any given time.Not to mention its made of vitamins and minerals! I used to use my homemade lash serum (castor oil/vitamin e) religiously but find myself using it less and still seeing my natural lashes longer and fuller. All around beautiful product... does beautiful things for your body (lashes) and makes them look even more beautiful when made up.okay so I am a sucker for marketing...when that marketing includes unicorn magic that is! Luckily the mascara is everything I wanted, I only knocked down a star as I didn't really find it buildable and until it dries it tends to smudge... I admit I should be more patient waiting after application, and once dried (couple minutes at most it is pretty smudge free). It is a great every day mascara, it defines and darkens my natural lashes and does not flake irritating stuff in my eyes, in fact I generally forget I have it on. It does not really add volume or length, which is fine for me as my main problem is my blonde lashes tend to be invisible, but I recommend something else if you want more vavavoom.PROS:- good dark black- no clumping at all- non-irritating (I tend to have sensitive eyes)- stays put. I have worn working out, accidentally falling asleep, and with a cold.- easy to remove (this is a big plus for me)- fun package- good value- vegan and natural productCONS- does not add length or volume- take a little bit to dry initially and will leave wet paint marks where my lashes hit my lidsThis mascara is great, even better that it’s vegan. I have been using this for years. One downfall is I find it dries out very quickly.I love this mascara. I'm always trying new mascaras that are vegan and cruelty free, and this one ticks all the boxes for me! It doesn't clump up or flake off, and it's gentle around the eyes, no more eyes watering for me! I love the two different effects you can achieve with the adjustable wand, either choose the lengthening, for fluttery eyelashes(it really pulls them up) this is what I choose to do for more of a day look, and then the volumising look, is very dramatic, for me this is perfect for a night out without having to bother with uncomfortable falsies! The only bit of advice I would give, when dipping the wand into the mascara I prefer to have the bristles set on the lengthening mode, to get all the glossy mascara into each bristle, and then twist the wand to the alternative wand if this is what you choose to have! You won't be dissapointed, this is now my favorite mascara!Eyes looked no different to a regular cheap mascara even with the other brush. Clumps and dries fast.Was searching for a twisting mascara that was cruelty free for ages but this was worth the wait! Applies really nicely with no clumps & gives my lashes a natural but "fake lashes" look! Would definitely recommend!This was a gift - not for myself!This mascara is very nice, but not a tubing of fibre building mascara. I have thrive mascara and this mascara is nothing like that brand. I DO however think the expanding wand is VERY cool and effective! This mascara does build and give volume, but when I compare it to thrive, it doesn’t hit the mark.Still a very good mascara.
