EDIT:After writing this review I was contacted by an employee who apologized for the faulty product I had received. They offered to provide me another kit for free, or to reimburse me. Given I had struggled so much the first time, I declined the offer of the kit.I do believe that I had just received improper pads and adhesive. I am happy someone got back to me quickly and tried to make things right.I really was excited to try this, I have straight medium length lashes that look great with mascara, but I'm trying to stop wearing makeup as often. I've been looking at this kit for a while now.First issue: I had 3 size M eye pads and only 1 size M1 eyepad. All the eyepads seemed to be very close in size, I first went with the small since it seemed to fit. I waited for the glue to get tacky, like the reviews recommended. Once I put it on my eye, the corners wouldnt stick. I tried a size medium and had my boyfriend help, but I had the same issue. My second complaint was that the under eye patches they provide are too large and irritated my waterline. The instructions said to place it on your lower eyelid and isolate the upper and lower lashes. I put the patch every which way, lower, higher, to the left, more to the right, and it was so uncomfortable and irritating. My lashes wouldn't stick to what I did have glued down so I took it all off and cleaned my face. My right eye is irritated now. I'm sure this kit is better for someone who knows what they're doing and is going to do this on someone else.I don't recommend this kit, but so many others haven't had issues. Don't buy it if you're gonna try and do it alone.Other than that, the kit did come with everything you need, including extra mascara wands and applicators. I attached photos.I bought this to use on myself, the under eye pads were so annoying I couldn’t use them. Just having it on my face so close to my eye made my eyes water. I felt like I didn’t need them though. The lift pads were difficult to get to stick at the corners onto my skin, they kept lifting. They’re just a little too stiff that I couldn’t get them to bend and stay with the glue provided. My lashes are long but very straight, o had to use a lot of glue and re-glue several times throughout. Getting them to stay glue on the lift pad was hard.Being my first time doing it on myself those were my challenges but the second time I did them a few weeks later was much easier. The product was a thicker consistency which I liked because I didn’t have to worry about it running into my eyes since they were slightly opened. I was able to do both eyes at the same time because there was very minimal fumes so my eyes were not bothered at all.I did 12 mins total for both perm and neutralizer steps with plastic wrap placed onto the lashes only while leaving it lifted up not sitting on my skin so my eye ball had air.I used Q tips to remove perm prior to using neutralizer. I also cleaned off neutralizer with Q tip before using the cleanser because I was tinting lashes also. I felt like the curl lasted about 6 weeks like perfect and then a few of my lashed (the stubborn ones) started straightening. All around I really liked this product for home use.The cleanser does need to be much bigger size though!!Updated - after I left my review, I was offered a full refund for this product. They said I could have received a defective lot. They did offer to send me a new kit to try again, but I chose the refund instead, as I have already found that a professional salon service works for me. Vassoul's customer service is excellent! This is the first time I have tried a lash perm kit. It was not very easy to use, but I was finally able to get the pads and product applied. I followed the instructions perfectly, and I literally saw no difference in my lashes. To be fair, I do have very thick and straight lashes, so that may be why it didn't work well for me. I have sensitive skin and did not have any type of discomfort or reaction, so I was happy about that. It just didn't work for me.I have tried plenty of pro brands that are 5x the price but I always come back to this one. It is my all time favorite. I know my clients will get a great lift! As a licensed Esthetician. It gets the job done at a great cost with perfect results!!I've used another brand but decided to give this one a try. This kit burns and stings a lot more than the other brand. It also smells really bad, different from regular hair perm smell that permeated throughout my house. I couldn't leave it on for the entire recommended time and had to wash it off, but my lashes still curled so it does work. I got this kit because of the resealable bottles and so I was thinking I could get more than just 5 uses like the other set. But I'm just not sure if I will be able to use this kit again. Overall it does work though and is a good price, if you can stand the burning sensation and intense smell. It took a minute to figure out, but the results lasted over two months for me! Loved it.EDIT: They offered me an Amazon gift card to delete my review - do not trust the good reviews!!!The glue that comes with in the product is absolutely useless. They mentioned that their glue is plant based so it may not be sticky enough and suggested you use your own. What is the point of buying this if their glue isn’t strong enough hold your lashes to the mold? Super disappointed since this has good reviews.I used to go to a professional every six weeks to get an eyelash perm costing me $80 per visit. This is a great long lasting kit that will get you at least 10 perms out of it saving you so much money! Its a bit tricky and takes some time to get the glue to stick to your lashes at first. Once you get the hang of it though its worth it. My tip would be to let the glue get tacky first (don't brush your lashes on to it while its totally wet). I also use the size small pad for the best results. Will buy again! The glue DOESN’T work AT ALL ! I’m not the only comment like this recently so they might have change the formula. I don’t know but it’s awful. I tried 4 times and I gave up. My eyes are burning, the lift pad is a super weird shape. I tried the kit to laminate my brow instead and I wash them 10 hours later because it was horrible. Your OWN GLUE is MANDATORY. And if your lashes are naturally short, don’t bother. Hope my comment helps because I got falsely encouraged to buy this product because of the good reviews. It might work for some people but if you’re not use to apply makeup, you’ll be terrible at doing it. IT IS SOOO HARD.It's a little difficult to do in the beginning but if you do one eye first, you definitely learn from the first one and makes the second eye easier. I found that it helped to use my own eyelash glue on the eye pad to hold it place, I also use a headband to put over the clear wrap to hold my lashes and plastic in place. Another helpeful tip is once you pick out the right sized eye pad for your eye lid trim the ends, near the corners of the eye so the eye pad stays on better (if your doing it yourself)If you have a friend or family member who can do it for you, it would be better because then your eyes can stay shut the whole time, to protect your eyes from the product and also to make it faster and easier. It’s a nicely laid out kit with everything you need. I used it to laminate my brows and lift my lashes, both of which worked fairly well for my first time using this product. Some tips for brow lamination:-Try to use a thin layer of glue over the brow hairs. I had a thick layer over the centre of one of my brows and that area didn’t perm as well.-Work in small sections, using the provided comb to brush the brow hairs in place.-Use seran wrap over your brows after applying the perming solution, then again after applying the fixing solution.-Don’t exceed 10 minutes, you may fry your brows! Some tips for lash lift:-I had a hard time working with the glue provided as I found it wasn’t sticky enough to hold my lashes in place after applying the perm solution. I used my own lash glue (Quo brand) and that was enough to hold it in place, but was a bit hard to remove the residue afterwards.-I prefer using the smallest pads as it gives you the most curl. Focus on getting the lashes on the inner and outer corners to stick to the pad as I found those were the hardest and I ended up with having only nicely curled centred lashes.-I found it easiest to work on one eye at a time if doing it yourself. Also, there are many YouTube tutorials on how to use these products as the instructions included aren’t the clearest. I would watch a few first to get an idea of how the process is supposed to go.
