Worked very well for about a year and never had any issues with it. Not sure if it just began to wear from use, but the corner of the curler started to pull on my outer corner lashesThey work but I would say they could have been made maybe a little better feels kinda cheap. But they do curl my lashes okay. I like the color of them as well. The little travel bag string already unraveled though.Honestly was expecting more/better.There seems to be some play in the movement and the finger loops are uncomfortable.Not much better than anything I can get locally at the drugstoreOK, some time back i really needed a new eyelash curler, came to Amazon to see reviews and find the replacement for the one I used to use but is no longer made. WOW, look at all these five star reviews over here, and the price is great!! This is 100% WHY I chose the Brilliant Beauty Eyelash Curler.After receiving it, I also got a little card offering free insert pads and in exchange was asked to leave a five star review here, and reminded that it was important to be a 5-star rating. That really put a bad taste in my mouth, and made me realize that many of these reviews could quite possibly have been bought with the freebie offer I was given. Hey, man! I chose this curler based on reviews and rating. I felt duped. And sure enough, that was far and away one of the worst curlers I'd ever used. It pinched, and pulled out lashes all the time unless I did some really careful steps which required me not to use it has I usually would. Now, I am a lash fanatic, I always get compliments on mine, so I know what I'm doing, and have for over 40 yrs. I never use a curler on lashes with mascara on them UNLESS it's completely clean, and then would be very careful and patient, first to use on powdered, already dried mascara-ed lashes, and to squeeze very gently, no moving your hand or face or you'll be at fault for removing lashes. Then release very gently, again NO moving of hand or face, even eyes... might take a minute, but any lashes which might be stuck, will unstick. Still I'd lose corner lashes most often. :( And I didn't even feel it curled well, it was sort of a 'wah-wahhhhhh' type of curl.Years (?) later, a month or two ago, I got another email offering a free updated version of the curler, choice of color, and again with the strong suggestion, and constant confirmation 'ok, so we are glad you are going to leave us a 5-star review' etc. (Even though I never promise scores). The curler arrives really fast, it's a matte black, and is lovely, in a little black satin drawstring bag. It does not pinch. It does not pull out lashes, and it curls easily and well. :)) THIS one is deserving of the 5-stars, but I still feel my rating was 'bought' in a way... at least coerced. So, yes, if you receive this curler, I feel you will be very happy. And I do wish this company felt confident enough in their own ratings to not have to 'buy' them with free things.... how the heck they stay in business, a business they claim is small, I have no idea.But good job on the upgrade. I am happy with it, and would replace it with the same one in the future.This eyelash curler in no better or worse than curlers, that I am currently using. The finger opening was a little small for my fingers.It’s a good quality eyelash curler well packaged. Would make a good gift too…but what is meant by ‘drying power’?This curler is a keeper! There had been so many curlers that I've already thrown in the trash, as they kept pulling off my lashes to a point where half of my lashes were gone. I've used this curler every day for 7 months already, and I still have my full lashes. I hold them for 20 seconds every morning and my lashes stay high and curl literally for the whole day. I read some reviews that it doesn't suit Asian eyes, but it worked out good for me.It's cute don't get me wrong but hard to curl with.These look pretty and the little pouch is handy, but they’re just too stiff to give a good curl to lashes. They may improve as they loosen offI was expecting an amazing contraption but it was nothing special what so ever. I kept trying it thinking perhaps I’m not doing it right but to no avail. My daughter tried it and she’s a makeup guru and she gave it a thumbs down. So I’m sorry, it a thumbs down for me too ??I have used many brands of lash curlers over the years - this one is different because it opens much wider than anything else I’ve used and this means it grabs all of your lashes, right into the inner and outer corners. Plus it doesn’t pinch your skin and feels gentle on the lashes but produces a really great curl. I liked it so much I also bought one for my daughter - I was sick of her stealing mine! Would highly recommend.Works wellReally easy to use and come with a nice silky bag to keep them clean. Great product
